On 8 July 2026, Zhang Wei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of China Oil & Gas Pipeline Network Corporation (PipeChina), led a delegation on a visit to Foshan Xianhu Laboratory.
At the Zero-Carbon Combustion Technology Center, Chairman Zhang was briefed on zero-carbon combustion technology pathways and the deployment of coupled ammonia–hydrogen energy applications, and visited pilot-scale demonstrations of ammonia- and hydrogen-blended combustion for high-temperature industries such as ceramics, aluminium processing and thermal power generation. He fully affirmed the milestone results the laboratory has achieved by focusing on China’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategy and on hydrogen and ammonia–hydrogen energy technologies. The two sides held in-depth discussions on ammonia–hydrogen energy conversion, pipeline transport and new-energy applications.
